Did Tribal council really shoot down the oversight of ODEMI meetings by their staff? Yes, this is true.

On August 5, 2021 Councilor Tamara Kigoma and Council Pamp request oversight of the ODEMI board by council staff after the PACE funding failed. This was also after Rachel Cope, Senior Financial Analyst for the tribe, noted that ODEMI is out of compliance with Tribal Accounting Practices (TAP) regulations creating conflict with compliance for the overall governmental operations.
