Recall 2021

We are the citizens. We need to hold council accountable for their actions.

It is our responsibility as citizens to hold our Tribal Leadership accountable for their actions. We fear that our tribal council has forgotten our ways, specifically our teachings. Their actions are not reflective of the teachings of community. They are making decisions based on their own needs and wants. From outstanding loans never repaid to the citizenship from OUR funds, ethics violations- by voting on items that are directly tied to their employer or flat out ignoring the needs of our community when presented by our very own citizens.

It is time to assert our rights and powers as the CITIZENS of LTBB. We will hold our elected officials to the duties set forth in the constitution, or they will be removed.

The constitution, tribal codes and regulations outline the duties of tribal council officers. They are in violation. As citizens we are tired of our leadership we trusted and put in office, continually putting personal feelings into politics. Their decisions, actions and choices are not that of the people but of themselves, and do not contribute to the betterment of our people. We are no longer going to allow this to happen. They will be no longer allowed to make decisions without accountability to the citizenship.  This is why our recall petition is directed at Tribal Council Officers: Legislative Leader Emily Proctor, Secretary Marcella Reyes and Treasurer Leroy Shomin.
